About Tank Assault

Tank Assault is a top-down tank battle across six levels. You drive a single tank, aim the turret independently of the hull and clear every enemy vehicle before the clock runs out. Each level adds a new threat: fast scouts that circle you, heavy tanks that soak damage, turrets that never move but hit hard, and minefields that punish a careless line.

Everything runs in the browser with no install and no account. A level takes two to four minutes, which makes the game easy to pick up and easy to put down.

How to play

• Destroy every enemy tank in the level to open the exit.
• Collect coins dropped by wrecks and spend them on repairs and upgrades.
• Watch the timer: the mission fails when it reaches zero.
• Use walls as cover - a shot blocked by a wall costs you nothing.

Controls

• Desktop - W A S D or arrow keys drive the hull, the mouse aims the turret, left click fires and Space brakes.
• Mobile - a left thumb stick drives, the right pad aims, and the fire button shoots while you hold it.

Upgrades and pickups

Coins buy a stronger shell, faster reload and extra armour. Coins are collected with every wreck, repair kits restore armour and the blue shield absorbs one direct hit, which makes the seconds after a shield pickup the safest moment to push forward. Because the turret turns independently, the strongest play is to drive past a corner, keep the hull moving and hold the aim on the last known position of an enemy.

The six levels

The first level is an open yard with two scouts. The second adds static turrets, the third introduces mines, the fourth mixes heavies with scouts, the fifth is a tight maze of corridors, and the sixth is a full arena with every enemy type at once. Each level keeps its own best time, so there is always a reason to replay one.

Tips

• Never stop moving in the open; a still tank is a dead tank.
• Kill scouts first - they are fast and they block your retreat.
• Save the shield pickup for the last thirty seconds.
• Reverse into cover instead of turning around in the open.
