- In-depth Knowledge of Aero Engine Component Design and Assessment Process:
- Thorough understanding of Aero Engine Component Design and Non-Conformance Assessment Process for the sentencing of production, overhaul, and service components.
- Expertise in the Design and Assessment of Complex Fabrications:
- Proficiency in designing and assessing complex fabrications like casings, rings, unit mounting, fairings, inlets/outlets, etc.
- Design and Installation of Engine External Components:
- Experience in designing, developing, and installing external components like ducts, harnesses, pipes, hoses, and brackets.
- Understanding of Engine Subsystem Requirements:
- Comprehension of engine subsystem-level requirements for developing component-level concepts and Modification policies for fleet, cost, and performance optimization updates.
- Creation of Design Definition:
- Crafting design definitions including geometry creation, design solution drawings, component models, drawing definitions, interface control documents, etc.
- Modification of Gas Turbine Engine Components:
- Modifying gas turbine engine components to achieve cost reduction, resolve service and manufacturing issues, etc. Reviewing concessions and recommending drawing changes through the Definition Alteration Request (DAR) process.
- Fit, Form, and Functionality Analysis:
- Analyzing various components for fit, form, and functionality with defects through concessions, DARs, and TADs. Conducting tolerance stack analysis, and layout in UG, and collaborating with specialists like Stress Engineers, Air System experts, and Materials Engineers.
- Experience in Engine Control System Development:
- Proficiency in developing Engine Control system hardware and software, testing, and understanding of Engine health monitoring system.
- Expertise in Reliability Engineering:
- Experience in Life Cycle Engineering activities, particularly in Reliability Engineering for Engine Components.
- Publication Preparation and Editing:
- Preparing AMM, CMM, and EMM publications, creating and editing Life Management plans for engine components.
- Resolving Customer Queries and Issues:
- Experience in resolving customer queries/issues in service bulletins, modification bulletins, etc.
- Reliability Management and Analysis:
- Proficient in reliability management through LRU trend reports, service experience reports, and root cause analysis reports.
- Design in Context and Safety Requirements:
- Experienced in design in context, safety requirements, DFMEA, and PFMEA methods.
- Proficiency in Tools:
- Experience in working with Teamcenter, UGNX, and PDM Metaphase.
